Your First Visit

  • Initial Consultation:
Your visit begins with a thoughtful conversation. Dr. Mark will review your health history and listen carefully to your concerns and goals. He may ask additional questions to gain deeper insight into your current or past health status.

  • Personalized Plan:
Your visit includes Biofield Testing to help identify hidden stressors and root causes of imbalance in your body. From there, Dr. Mark will develop a personalized treatment plan, which may include acupuncture, nutraceuticals, Chinese herbal medicine, clinical nutritional support, or other recommended therapies.

  • First Treatment:
In most cases, you’ll receive your first acupuncture treatment during your initial visit.

Preparing for Your Appointment

  • Before your visit, you’ll receive new patient forms to complete. These help us understand your health history, current symptoms, and overall wellness goals. Completing them in advance allows Dr. Mark to review your information ahead of time, so your appointment can focus on meaningful discussion and personalized care.

  • Choose comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Some treatments may involve areas such as the arms, legs, or back, so we recommend clothing that’s easy to adjust if needed.

  • Please bring a list of any current medications or supplements and any recent lab results you’d like to share. These details help us create a more complete picture of your health.

After Your Visit

Healing unfolds differently for everyone. Some patients feel relief after their first treatment, while others notice gradual improvement over several weeks.

Dr. Mark adjusts each treatment as your body responds, always working toward lasting balance and renewal.

FAQs

  • Most patients describe the feeling as light or soothing. Some experience a slight tingling or warmth, but treatments are gentle and deeply relaxing.

  • New patient visits typically last about 90 minutes, allowing time for your initial consultation, Morphogenic Field Technique testing, and acupuncture treatment.

Follow-up visits are generally scheduled for 60 minutes.

  • Each patient’s treatment plan is designed around their individual health needs and goals. While many patients notice improvement after just one or two treatments, acupuncture and Chinese medicine are most effective when received consistently over time.

An initial treatment plan may include visits once or twice a week, gradually tapering to once every two weeks, once a month, or once every six weeks before the plan is completed. Many patients also return for periodic “tune-up” sessions to maintain their progress in balance, energy flow, and overall wellness.

Your personalized treatment plan, including the number of sessions, will be as unique as you are.

  • We are out of network with all insurance providers.

If you have a PPO plan with out-of-network acupuncture coverage, we may be able to submit a claim for your treatment for the second and subsequent visits. Some insurance plans cannot be billed at all, so feel free to ask if we work with your carrier.

We’re happy to verify whether your PPO plan includes out-of-network acupuncture coverage. Please bring your insurance card to your initial appointment so we can make a copy.
