Our Philosophy of Care
Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture is a powerful, drug-free path to better health. Every treatment is guided by the belief that the body is designed to heal when given the right support to restore balance.
We see every patient relationship as a partnership. Our role is to listen closely, offer guidance, provide treatment and resources, and create a path toward healing that fits not only your condition, but also your lifestyle and goals.
Dr. Mark Wilson
A Lifelong Commitment to Healing
Dr. Mark Wilson, O.M.D., L.Ac., D.N.B.A.O., became interested in natural medicine at an early age. In 1972, at age 19, he attended massage school in Santa Fe, New Mexico. While there, he studied iridology (using the iris of the eye as a diagnostic tool) and received his first series of acupuncture treatments for hypoglycemia. The remarkable results inspired him to pursue a lifelong career in acupuncture.
Dr. Mark has been helping patients find healing and balance for over 38 years. In 2020, he relocated his practice from San Jose to San Luis Obispo, where he opened the Center for Classical Chinese Medicine.
He combines Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern functional medicine to support patients with complex health needs. Dr. Mark is committed to seeing each patient as a whole person on a wellness journey, not a collection of symptoms to treat. His approach integrates acupuncture, Morphogenic Field Testing, Chinese herbal medicine, and food-based nutraceuticals to uncover the root causes of illness and support the body’s natural ability to heal.
“Dr. Mark took the time to understand my wife’s medical history and listened carefully to our concerns.”
